Jeanette Isabel Duran

Jeanette Isabel Duran, 58, passed away October 8, 2025 in Hobbs, NM.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Cremation will take place after. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

 Jeanette was born on July 25, 1967 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Florindo and Gloria (Sena) Duran. Jeanette and her family later relocated to Loving, NM where she grew up. She attended Carlsbad Highschool and shortly after she met the father of her children Alberto Vasquez Sr. They lived in Carlsbad, NM where they raised their three children together.

 Jeanette had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel special and loved. She loved out loud and didn’t care what anyone else thought of it. Her home was always an open place for her family and friends to stay and enjoy her contagious silly and fun personality. And if you were lucky she’d also have her tamales, biscochitos, tortillas or something delicious cooking in the kitchen. Her strength in time of adversity was inspiring, showing us how to face life’s challenges with grace and determination. Her children will miss her guidance, her comforting hugs and unwavering support. She taught them the importance of kindness, the value of hard work, and the power of a mother’s love. 

Jeanette is preceded in death by her father, Florindo Duran. Paternal grandparents Lila Duran , Berlarmino and Isabel Romero, Maternal grandparents Christiano and Rafelita Duran, Uncle Wilbert Duran, Aunt Lori Duran.

She is survived by her mother, Gloria Duran; daughter, Sarita Montano and husband, Anthony, son, Albert Vasquez Jr., daughter, Gabrielle Vazquez and wife, Erika, daughter, Alicia Vasquez; grandchildren, Matthew, Dejannaye, Donovan, Jada, Jaden, Marcus, Jacob and Hayden; siblings: Donald Duran, Floyd Duran, Alvin Duran, Cathy Duran, Felita Duran; numerous nieces and nephews.

 Her children would like to give a special thank you to Whitesands Healthcare for the love and care they gave to their mom over her time spent there.
