Jean Santo, 80, of E. Derrick Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away March 14, 2024 at her home.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Sunset Church of Christ with Mike Veilleux officiating.  

Jean was born September 29, 1943 in Carlsbad, NM to Yates and Lillian (Hollinger) Martin.  She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1961.  Jean worked at WIPP in record keeping over 20 years.  She married Eugene Santo October 27, 1996.  Jean enjoyed reading, hiking, camping, and four-wheeling. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ.  Jean was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorothy Martin.

Survivors are her husband, Eugene Santo; children: Shelley Lanier of Albuquerque, Blaine Lanier and wife, Tracee of Farmington, Doug Santo and wife, Linda of Carlsbad, Brian Santo and Bobbie Jo of Carlsbad, Rebecca Santo of Beatrice, NE, Regina Neill and husband, Tim of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Jenna Dore and husband, Daniel, Cory Williams, Tyson Lanier and wife, Jordan, Jeremy Lanier, Kristin Stratton and husband, Kyle, Ashlee Johnson and husband, John, Christopher Chavez, Timothy Santo and wife, Linda, Anthony Santo and Kelsey, Chelssea Bratcher and husband, Dustin, Brianna Landini and husband, Damian, and Aliyah Neill; great-grandchildren: Camden, Colsten, Bendyl, Olivia, Cadence, Ivy, Lane, Julian, Jonah, and Dax; sister, Marion Stark and numerous nieces and nephews.
