Jarrod Ryan Olguin

Jarrod Ryan Olguin, 29, of Lubbock, TX passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Carlsbad Medical Center.

Jarrod was born April 3, 1994, to John Olguin and D’Andra Correa. Since his birth he has most loved being surrounded by friends and family and could most often be found grilling them the best steaks and watching the Houston Astros win, with his fiancé and beautiful baby girls by his side. He lived his life by the quote “Love life and ALL that are in it,” and made this know by being exceedingly forgiving and loving to all that entered his life. Jarrod’s love for softball helped him form lifelong friendships, on and off the field, and he will be forever missed by all that were touched by his life, love, and presence.

Jarrod is reunited in death with his father and hero, John E. Olguin; grandfather, John Olguin; two aunts, Melissa Olguin and Priscilla “Cilla” Villescas Duran; and cousin, Alyanna Gonzalez.

Jarrod is survived by his fiancé, Amber Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX; three children: Jaylene Olguin, Janelle Olguin, and Jakoby Olguin; mother, D’Andra Correa and husband, Matthew of Lubbock, TX; four siblings: Kambri Roland and husband, Morgan of Midland, TX; Seth Olguin of Carlsbad, NM; Aren Hernandez of Lubbock, TX; and John Olguin of Las Cruces, NM; four nieces and nephews: Karrah Roland, Karlee Roland, Jace Roland, and Kannon Olguin; paternal grandmother, Connie Olguin of Las Cruces, NM; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Priscilla Villescas of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Cremation will follow, and a celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Oasis Church with Pastor Gabe Rubio officiating.
