Jacob A. Cabezuela, 32, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 in Carlsbad. Cremation will take place and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, September 22, 2025 at Calvary Assembly of God with Associate Pastor Jaxon Prom officiating. A gathering after the memorial service will be held at Calvary as well and food will be provided. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jacob was born June 27, 1992 in Carlsbad, NM. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially liked fishing and hunting. Jacob never turned down the opportunity to hang out with his kids and take them fishing. He was a kind soul, always caring for others more than himself. If you knew Jacob, you knew how much he loved to eat and ironically he was never full. Jacob will be laid to rest at a later date in the mountains where he was baptized into Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Moses and Geneva Cabezuela, and grandmother, Mary Lou Arredondo.

Survivors are his daughters: Jariah Cabezuela, Jayla Cabezuela, Jewel Cabezuela; son, Jacob Cabezuela, Jr.; mother of his children, Mariah Carrillo; mother, Susie Rodriguez; father, Jesse Cabezuela and girlfriend, Debbie Valdez; grandfather, Frank Arredondo and Angie Rodriguez; brother, Jesse A. Cabezuela, Jr. and wife, Cynthia; sister, Jolyn Olivas and husband, Aaron; brother, Saul Flores and wife, Diana, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
