Jackie Elaine (Patton) Sullivan was born on December 20, 1941, here in Carlsbad, NM. She was born 13 days following the Pearl Harbor attack. During the war she and her mother lived for a time in California near her father’s family, but later moved to Malaga on her mother’s family farm along the Black River. She married Perry Sullivan in 1959 and became a homemaker which she loved doing all her life. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ starting at Hillcrest and then Fox and Lake until they moved to Arizona. She has recently been a member at the Northside Church of Christ in Tucson. She always loved art and found she a talent for painting, especially florals and scenery, in Acrylic and Oils. She made handmade cards for the sick and for birthdays for many years. Jackie is survived by her children, Yvonda Lea Sullivan and Perry Lee Sullivan, Jr of Tucson, AZ; and her brother and sister-in law, James Jr and Jean Patton of Clovis, NM. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Sr of 60 years, her parents, James and Jackie Lou Patton. Jackie suffered heart failure and returned to her Lord on March 7, 2024. Visitation for Jackie will be Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Denton -Wood funeral home chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Fox and Lake Church of Christ. Condolences can be expressed at Dentonwood.com.
