Jackie Rayroux

Mary J. (Jackie) Rayroux went to her heavenly home May 6, 2026, surrounded by family. Jackie was born May 14, 1931, to Agnes Fry Davis and Virgle M. Davis in Phoenix, Arizona. The family moved to Carlsbad in 1935 where she attended Carlsbad schools, graduating in 1949. Jackie briefly studied at UCLA in Los Angeles before returning to Carlsbad where she began her working career at the Eddy County Treasurers Office. She then moved to the American Bank where she would spend 32 years in the banking industry before retiring. After a few years, Jackie returned to the workforce where she would spend 10 years with the Eddy County Assessor’s Office and 3 years with Western Commerce Bank.

On September 2, 1967, Jackie married the love of her life, Roy Rayroux. They loved to travel and were able to see Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, England, Philippines, Canada, Guam and all 50 states. She was active in the community with Altrusa International, Camp Fire Girls, NM Bankers Association, Square Dancing, Habitat for Humanity, 4-H and Grace Episcopal Church.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Virgle and Agnes Davis; husband, Roy Rayroux and brother, Charles Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Missy Wall and husband, Dean, son, Kenney Rayroux and wife Carolyn; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Chrisman (Ret) officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Wall, Nat Wall, Bryan Rayroux, Hunter Rayroux, Justin Hall and Carlos Gomez. Honorary pallbearers are James Rayroux, Keegan Bianchi, Phil DeArmond, Zach Wall, Tyler Rayroux, Caden Rayroux, David Baker and Russ Powers.
