J E Loftis

J E Loftis, age 86, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. He was born on September 10, 1938, in Blu, Oklahoma.

J E dedicated his career to public service and retired from the Las Vegas, Nevada Fire Department in 1989, where he served with honor and courage. His life was defined by hard work, integrity and devotion to his family. He was also a faithful member of the Church of Christ and lived his life guided by his values of faith and compassion.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Little Loftis, and his sister, Betty Loftis White.

J E is survived by his beloved wife, Thyria Canada Loftis; his children, Erin Kathleen Loftis, Heather Loftis Thompson, Kim & John Yarc III, and Tracy Canada & Dorella Peters.

He was a proud grandfather to Keith & Stephanie Thompson, Elyse & James Stewart, Victoria & Will Roberson, Ashley & Ryan Blankenship, and Dyar Debbrecht. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: James Thompson, Aria Thompson, Lilith Stewart, Lorelei Stewart, Austin Blankenship, Andrew Blankenship, Rainey Blankenship, and Temperance Debbrecht.

J E will be remembered for his humor, strength, quiet wisdom, deep faith, and unwavering love for his family. His life touched many, and his memory will be cherished always.
