Helen Jane Joe

Helen Jane Joe, 88, of Chico Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away March 29, 2022 at Lakeview Christian Home.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, April 1, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Terry McKean officiating.  Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Helen was born February 7, 1934 in Magazine, Arkansas to Walter and Eula Bell (Lewis) Vinzant and moved to Carlsbad as a young girl.  Helen raised her five children in Carlsbad.  She was a talented artist, seamstress, cook and had a special knack for taking care of family when they were sick.  Helen was a faithful Christian throughout her life.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Ray Cobb; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Benson and five sisters and two brothers.

Survivors are her husband, William Joe; son, David Cobb and wife, Lila; daughters: Betty Cobb Knowles and husband, Sonny, Debbie Walker and husband, Marvin and Mary Ricketson; grandchildren: Amy Cobb Udell and husband, James, Eric Cobb, Tanya Gregory, Donny Gregory and wife, Erin, Will Cobb and wife, Angela, Dylan Cobb and wife, Sarah, Kelley Cobb, Tiffany Walker Yerby and husband, Michael, Cole Walker, Jamie Goff, Brandy McKillip and Jeff McKillip; great-grandchildren: Josh, Mason, Shay, Alex, Josey, Lila, Anna, Caroline, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Christopher and wife, Allison, Colton and wife, Addison, Caden, Cyan, Kenseth, Kelsey, Amber, Kyliegh, Mikayla; great-great-grandchildren: Kit, Ryker, Brynn, Camryn, Tylar, Carson, Ellis, Brielle and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Goff, Jeff McKillip, Cole Walker, Donny Gregory, Mason Gregory and Shay Gregory.
