Gyna Lynn Betts, 59, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, in Carlsbad, NM. Gyna was born on January 28, 1964, in Chicopee, MA to Milford and Linda Ivey.

Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service scheduled for 2:00 PM. Cremation will follow services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gyna was preceded in death by her father, Milford Wayne Ivey; mother, Linda Faye (Roberts) Ivey; and two sisters: Koni Lewayne Ivey and Lyda Daureen Ivey Gooch.

Gyna is survived by her partner, Mickey Caves of Carlsbad, NM; three children: Brandyn Betts and wife, Trudy of Hawkins, TX; Jennifer Betts of Carlsbad, NM; and Johnathyn Betts of Odessa, TX; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Lyla Smith of Carlsbad, NM; and Toni McKnight and husband, Mark of Higgins, TX; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
