Gus G. "Buddy" Corbett

Gus G. “Buddy” Corbett, 72, of Mountain View Drive, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at his home.

Buddy was born December 7, 1952, in Alamogordo, NM, to Gus and Martha Laura (Steddum) Corbett. He married Susan Montgomery June 3, 1978 in Alamogordo. Buddy drove a concrete truck for Alamo Transit many years. They moved to Carlsbad in 1979 and Buddy then drove a truck for Roland Trucking. Most recently, he owned and operated Corbett Transport until retiring in 2021. Buddy enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating but most importantly spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Joshua Blaze Diaz, and brother, Monty Tucker.

Survivors are his wife, Susan Corbett; daughter, Amy Jarboe and husband, Kori; sons: Charles Diaz and wife, Edie, Michael Diaz; grandchildren: McKenzie, Dalton, Alyssia, C.J., Janice, Ayanna, Austin, Piper, Morgan, and Jordan; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters: Glenda Johnston, Diana Shurland, and Lynn Fons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
