Gerald J. “Gerry” Kelleher, 102, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date.

Gerald was born on August 10, 1923, to Lewis and Irene (Manning) Kelleher in Rawlins, Wyoming. 

He graduated from Rawlins High School in 1941. Gerald served his country in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Rolf DE 362. He received a mathematics and education degree from University of Wyoming at Laramie. Gerald married Zola Larsen on May 31, 1952. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 49 years, retiring as an engineer. Gerald enjoyed snow skiing and computers and was also a huge sports fanatic. He was an avid Braves and Cowboys fan. Gerald joined the B.P.O. Elks July 1, 1941, which made him an 85-year-old member this July.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Zola Kelleher, second wife, JoAnn Conroy, son, Randall Kelleher, daughter, Tami Kelleher, siblings, Anita Johnson, Vince Kelleher, Genevieve Ford, and Merle Kelleher.

 Gerald is survived by his daughter, Heidi Goodey and husband, Garth; grandchildren: Shalisa Jensen and husband, Zach, Jamie Stroud and husband, Travis, Brendon Goodey, Brittany Schutt and husband, Jacob, Dylan Kelleher; great-grandchildren, Ryker Jensen, Kaitlyn Stroud, Kimber Stroud, Riley Jensen, Kolton Stroud, and Maddie Estes; numerous nieces and nephews.
