Fulgencio "Poncho" Baiza

Obituary Fulgencio Poncho Baiza, 79, of Salazar Road Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Carlsbad Medical Center surrounded by his family. Fulgencio was born on January 16, 1941, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Miguel and Jesusita Baiza. The family will be having private services, and interment will be at Santa Catarina Cemetery Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Fulgencio was a hard working man, and instilled in his children and grandchildren to have a good work ethic. He was a tough guy, with a soft heart, and was always fair and honest. Fulgencio was always on the go, and enjoyed staying busy. He was quick to help others, and was known to always have his familys back. His family was his world, and he will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Fulgencio was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Baiza; mother, Jesusita Baiza; wife, Luz Baiza; and five siblings. Fulgencio is survived by his son, Aaron Baiza and wife, Jennifer of Carlsbad, NM; son, Fulgencio Xavier Baiza and wife, Ruthuy of Marysville, WA; six grandchildren: Aaron Baiza Jr., Xavier Baiza, Adrian Baiza, Ale Baize, Cito Baiza, and Aaron Baiza III; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Methola and husband, Louie of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews.
