Evelyn Worley

Evelyn Inez Worley, 86, former resident, passed away June 14, 2026 in Hillsboro, Texas. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Monday, June 22, 2026 at New Song Christian Fellowship with Pastor John Wesley Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Evelyn was born September 3, 1939 in Artesia, NM, to Albert and Cullia Rosazetta (Lyons) Mosley. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed bird watching, camping and crocheting. Evelyn never turned down the opportunity to tell others about Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Lewis Worley; son, Curtis DeWayne Worley; grandson, Danny Ray Worley; sister, Bettie Sostrich and brother, Wayne Mosley.

Survivors are her sons: Ricky James Worley and wife, Jerri, John Richard Worley; grandchildren: Jennifer and husband, Randy, David and wife, Christine, Christopher, Crystal, T.J. and wife, Brittni, and Spencer; great-grandchildren: Danny and husband, Jerry, Anthony, Doyle, Zoey and Ashton, David, and Alina; sister, Ella Lee Lake and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry Bennett, Danny Schochler, Doyle Schochler, Randy Holman, Zoey Worley, David Worley, Spencer Worley and honorary pallbearers will be Jessica Villegas and Anthony Schochler.
