Eric Larry Jackson, 46, passed away on March 6, 2026 in El Paso, Texas. He was born on November 4, 1979 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, March 27, 2026 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with James Birchell officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Eric is survived by his father, Mickey Jackson and wife, Pam Jackson; his mother, Jenny Parks Ward; children, Sariah Hooten and husband, Trace Hooten; son, Bradley Jackson; Eric was a proud grandfather to Serphina, Kol, and Kelby, who brought him great joy and meant the world to him. His siblings: Laura Hutchinson and husband, Matthew Hutchinson along with their children, Ethan Hutchinson and fiancé, Aniah Sepulveda and daughters, Spencer Hutchinson, Madison Hutchinson and her boyfriend, Weldon Briones; Ryan Leon and his children Kamaeli, Sol, and Yonah; Jody Jackson and wife, Jocelyn Jackson, along with their children Baylie Medrano, Kendra Jackson and fiancé, Tyler Robinson; also several beloved great-nieces and nephews: Sonny Jackson, Judah Medrano, and Luca Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Bryce Jackson, son of Jody Jackson.
Eric was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and son who cared deeply for his family. He especially cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren and took great pride in being a grandfather. Eric also had a deep love for animals and was known for bringing home and caring for many pets over the years, something his family often remembers with both laughter and affection.
Eric was a firm believer in the Lord, and his faith was an important part of his life. He carried that faith with him through both the good times and the difficult moments, finding strength and comfort in his relationship with God. He will be remembered for his love of family, his kind heart, and the impact he had on those who knew him. Eric will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
