Obituary Enedina Garcia, 86, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away October 1, 2019 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be from 4 PM 6 PM, Monday, October 7, 2019 at the family home. A vigil is scheduled for 7 PM Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Enedina Buendia Garcia was born November 25, 1932 to Marino and Felicita Buendia in Carlsbad, NM. She married Petronilo J. Garcia on May 18, 1949 and together they started their family. Enedina had a beautiful and caring heart for her family and everyone she met. Her grandchildren were blessed to call her Mama. Mama will be deeply missed, always in our hearts and never forgotten. She was a great cook. She welcomed everyone to eat, even strangers. Mama always had food ready at any time. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Petronilo J. Garcia (Papa); grandchildren: Vanessa Sanchez, Robert Mono Garcia, Jr.; brothers: Delfino Buendia, Benjamin Buendia, Esteban Buendia and Marina Martinez. Survivors are her children: Linda Morrill (Larry) of Sioux City, Missouri, Martin Garcia (Epi), Robert Garcia (Maria), Policarpio Garcia (Maria) Rosa Borjorquez (Manuel) Christopher Garcia (Amy), all of Carlsbad, NM; 18 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Adolfo Buendia and Hermino Buendia; sister, Senaida Hernandez and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ruben Garcia, Fernando Garcia, Johnny Sanchez, Martin Garcia, Jr., Tomas Varela, Alonzo Garcia, David Mendoza and Rey Garcia.
