Emilio Santana Sedillos Sanchez passed away on November 3, 2026. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with a cremation to follow.
Emilio was born on December 1, 1997, in Denver, Colorado, to Edward Sanchez Jr. and Kimberly Sedillos. His family moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico, when he was young, and he graduated a Caveman from Carlsbad High School in 2017. Gifted at capturing life through a camera, Emilio became a passionate and talented photographer. He used his God-given talent as a photojournalist for news stations across the United States. He enjoyed traveling, photography, and the outdoors. Emilio lived life to the fullest, was fun to be around, and often said he was here for a great time, not a long time.
Emilio was a kind and generous soul who never met a stranger. He found beauty in everything and gave freely to others, including through his involvement with nonprofit organizations that helped children. He had a wonderful sense of style, loved shoes, and enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Above all, he deeply loved his mother and brothers. Although he was a twin, he shared a strong bond with each of his brothers.
Emilio is survived by his parents, Edward Sanchez Jr. and Kimberly Sedillos Sanchez, and his brothers, Edward, Eleano, and Eugene.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Sedillos Jr., and his cousin, Matthew Lusk.
His memory will remain a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
