E.H. Redden

Obituary E.H. Redden, 87, of N. 3rd Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away January 29, 2020 at his home. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 3, 2020 at Sunset Church of Christ with Mike Veilleux officiating. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. E.H. was born February 10, 1932 in Mint Hill, Missouri to Louis Everett and Selma Stella (Borloech) Redden. He graduated from high school in Linn, Missouri. E.H. served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged as Airman 1st Class. He married Bettie Funk December 5, 1953 in Dexter, NM. E.H. worked for Southern Union Gas Co. and later worked at Eddy Potash until retiring in 1993. He enjoyed auto restoration, auto mechanics, auto racing, hunting and traveling. Survivors are his wife, Bettie Redden; sons: E.H. Sandy Redden and wife, Carri, Terry Redden and wife, Janice; daughters: Melinda Martin and Diane Smith; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanora Busch and several nieces and nephews.
