Efren Aguilar, 83, passed away February 1, 2026, in El Paso, TX.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and burial will be scheduled at a later date.
Efren was born October 29, 1942, to Matilde and Herminia (Hinojos) Aguilar in Pecos, TX.
He was a “Jack of all trades” who previously worked in the mines and with Pennzoil. Efren had a very strong work ethic and eventually retired to enjoy his later years. He shared a love for Elvis amongst his brothers and enjoyed playing the lottery scratch off tickets. Always one who enjoyed traveling to his hometown of Hagerman, NM to spend time with his siblings, nieces and nephews. Efren also loved to watch his “Pittsburg Steelers” playing football and that “Terrible Towel”. He was also a family man who never met a stranger. Efren loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was also known to never miss calling to wish them a “Happy Birthday or Holiday”. Efren now rests in perfect peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Efren is preceded in death by his parents, Matilde and Herminia (Hinojos) Aguilar, and his grandson, Mario David Aguilar.
