Edward Lee Duran, 70, passed away in El Paso, Texas on May 28, 2024. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Loving Baptist Church.
He was born in Carlsbad, NM, on June 30, 1953. Edward attended Loving Schools and graduated from Carlsbad High School. He served as an altar boy at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Edward worked at the potash mines, retiring after 40 years of employment. He loved playing pool, taking morning walks, and spending lots of time with his great-grandchildren. Edward was a man of few words, but always helped others in need. He loved reading the Bible and being very active in the Loving Baptist Church where he took his great-grandchildren. He was devoted to his family and friends. Edward was an avid Phoenix Cardinals football fan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Duran; brothers: Danny Duran and Frank Duran, and nephew, Danny Duran, Jr.
Survivors are his daughter, Jennifer Galvan and husband, Steve of Loving, NM; son, Edward Duran, Jr. and wife, Diana of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Danielle Duran and Andre, Matthew Duran and Natalie, Ariana Bramblett and Emilio, Jacinda McLarey, Katrina McLarey; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings: Pearl Duran, Patsy Duran, and Tommy Duran, and numerous nieces and nephews.
