Eddie R. Menasco

Eddie R. Menasco, 82, of North James Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care in Joliet, IL. Eddie was born on February 17, 1943, in Dow, Oklahoma to Horace Robert Menasco and Flossie Mae Menasco.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, June 4, 2025 at Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eddie graduated from Haileyville High School in Haileyville, Oklahoma in 1961. He joined the US Air Force in 1962 where he served in Del Rio, Texas, Tucson, Arizona, Alaska, and then was stationed at Bien Hoa Air Force Base, Vietnam in 1964.

Eddie moved to Carlsbad, NM in the 1970’s where he worked for International Minerals and Chemical Corporation (IMC) as a warehouse and supply specialist. Eddie liked to bowl and traveled all over the country with his bowling team participating in bowling tournaments. He also enjoyed playing golf at Lake Carlsbad Golf Course.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Robert Menasco; mother, Flossie Menasco; wife, Phyllis Menasco; brother, John H. Menasco; nephew, Steve Menasco.

Eddie is survived by his son, John R. Menasco and wife Candy of Maumelle, Arkansas; step-daughter, Sabrina Puckett and husband Norman of Mazon, Illinois; grand-daughter, Kelly Ashley and husband Josh of Ohio; grand-son Stephan Menasco.
