Dwayne Zurovec

Dwayne Zurovec, 62, of Mission Circle, Carlsbad, NM, passed away March 11, 2026 in Lubbock, Texas. 

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Adam Marshall officiating. 

Dwayne was born January 20, 1964, in Brownsville, Texas to Edward and Clara (Bolen) Zurovec. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 1982. Dwayne worked in the oilfield as a supervisor for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and listening to music. 

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dustin Zurovec; stepdaughter, Jamie Kovacs; brother, Steven Zurovec.

Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Vicki Zurovec; son, Tyler Zurovec; daughter, Kimberly Nunley; son, Jeremiah Nunley; grandchildren: Karlee Castro, Jaxson Mallett, and Taelynn Nunley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
