It is with love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Douglas Ray Tindall, who departed this life on June 22, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by family, Douglas left us peacefully in his residence, leaving behind a legacy of service, compassion, and unwavering generosity.
Douglas Ray Tindall, born May 20, 1947, in Pinole, California, to Frank and Effa Tindall. He grew up in various towns but called Tucson, Arizona, his hometown. Upon graduating from Rincon High School, Douglas pursued higher education at the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration. During these years, Douglas developed a deep passion for motorcycles, shaping his lifelong love for engineering, restoring vintage bikes, and racing.
Douglas served in the United States Air Force, 1967 to 1971 where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served as a radioman in Turkey during the Vietnam War. Douglas completed his service honorably and embarked on a career in mining, engineering, and construction.
Douglas was married to Verla Georgia Scott for 54 years; their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished traditions.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Verla Tindall; and his children, James Tindall and wife Katrina Tindall, Robert Tindall and wife Tanya Tindall, Melanie Tindall, Scott Tindall and wife Phoenix Tindall; his grandchildren, Kristion Luna, Deric Luna, Douglas Luna, Jade Mitchell, John Mitchell, and Aria Tindall.
Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Tindall and Effa Tindall; brother, Forrest Tindall; son-in-law, Eric Luna.
There are no funeral or memorial services scheduled at this time. We invite you to celebrate their memory in your own way.
