Doris was born on January 14, 1972, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where she grew up and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1990. In 1994, she married the love of her life, Jackie H. Rodriquez, beginning a life together filled with family, love, and many cherished memories.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a woman whose greatest joy came from her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children and could often be found proudly cheering them on from the sidelines at their sporting events. Whether it was a big game or a regular day at the field, being there for her kids was one of the things that meant the most to her.
Doris dedicated 25 years of her career to working at WIPP, where she built lasting connections and took pride in the work she did. Outside of work, Doris found her greatest joy in the people she loved. She enjoyed camping, spending time with family and friends, and was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees, always looking forward to the excitement of attending games in person.
Those who knew Doris will remember her for her love of family, her caring heart, her strength, and the memories she created with the people around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her beloved husband: Jackie Rodriquez; her children: Andrew Rodriquez, Eric Rodriquez & fiance Sade Shabazz, Victoria Rodriquez & partner Aaron Millman; grandchildren: Azriel Millman; stepfather, Paul Simmons; aunts: Nati Hernandez, Zulema Collins, Christina Ramirez, Angelica Ramirez, and Romelia Hernandez; uncle, Lionel Franco; cousins: Melissa Ramirez, Myra Dean, Oscar Hernandez, James Collins, and Joslyn Collins, and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Doris was preceded in death by her father: Samuel Duarte; Mother: Velma Franco Simmons, and Uncle: Efren Collin, Oscar Franco, Armando Franco; Grandparents: Lorenzo Franco, Mary Franco; Cousin: Jeffery Collins.
Though she is no longer with us, her love will live on in every family gathering, every camping trip, every ball game, and every Yankees or Cowboys game watched in her honor.
Pallbearers will be James Collins, Trent Collins, Joey Rodriguez, Aaron Millman, Eddie Gonzalez, and Lionel Franco.
