Doris Lynn Rodriquez

Doris Lynn Rodriquez, 54, of Doc Holliday Court, Carlsbad, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 4, 2026. Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home followed by a vigil at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 10, 2026, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Doris was born January 14, 1972, in Carlsbad, NM. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1990. Doris married Jackie H. Rodriquez on August 27, 1994. She worked at WIPP for 25 years. Doris enjoyed camping and being with family and friends. She always loved attending her kids’ sports activities and later cherished the time with her grandson, Azriel. Doris was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Duarte; mother, Velma Franco Simmons, and uncle, Efren Collins.

Survivors are her husband, Jackie Rodriquez; sons: Andrew Rodriquez, Eric Rodriquez and Sade Shabazz; daughter, Victoria Rodriquez and Aaron Millman; grandson, Azriel Millman; stepfather, Paul Simmons; aunts: Nati Hernandez, Zulema Collins, Christina Ramirez, Angelica Ramirez, and Romelia Hernandez; uncle, Lionel Franco; cousins: Melissa Ramirez, Myra Dean, Oscar Hernandez, James Collins, and Joslyn Collins, and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be James Collins, Trent Collins, Joey Rodriguez, Aaron Millman, Eddie Gonzalez, and Lionel Franco.
