Donald W. "Donnie" White

Donald Wayne White, 86, passed away peacefully at his home on November 6, 2025. A lifelong resident of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Donnie lived a full life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he loved. He is survived by his best friend and significant other, Janis Potts; his sister Debbie Workman (Jimmy); sons Michael White (Deanne) and Mabry Jackson; daughters Katrina Armendariz, Donna Glidden (Tony), Sandy Meyer, and Karen Tanner (Allen); 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.

Donnie worked more than 50 years in the oilfield and driving a concrete truck. He took great pride in being a hardworking man and a devoted provider for his family.

Known for his strong opinions and feisty spirit, Donnie also had a big heart. He loved fishing, dancing, coin collecting, and taking his dog, Blue, to the park. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, including those at the senior center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Lavern White in 2001, one brother, two sisters, and two granddaughters. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to all of Donnie's family and friends, and especially to Enhabit Hospice, for the care, compassion, and love they provided to Donnie and his family during this time.

Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, November 10, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Voncile King officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, NM. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
