Desirae Hedgecock Davis

Desirae Hedgecock Davis, 38, of E. Blodgett Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at her home.

Visitation will be 12 noon – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Rev. Monty Leavell officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.  Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Desirae was born February 20, 1985 in Carlsbad, NM to John and Carol (Price) Hedgecock.  She attended school in Loving and enjoyed playing softball.  Desirae loved to cook. She was a hard worker with a generous heart. Desirae enjoyed spending time at the river.  She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter and friend.  Desirae was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sasha Hedgecock and her grandparents.

Survivors are her husband, Shane Davis; children: Brandon Scott Davis, Journey Lee Fernandez, Harley Carolyn Marie Fernandez and Aiden John Davis; grandchildren: Roque Jose Balderrama, III, Zachariah Lee Balderrama, Zoey Cansler; step-father, William Runkle; siblings: Kayla Hedgecock and husband, Ben Garcia and Sierra Hedgecock; nieces: Avalon Garcia and Lilly Hedgecock.

Pallbearers will be Journey Fernandez, Eric Whitehead, Justin Sherwood, Eli Wood, Johnny Brooks, Edward Ruiz, Roque Balderrama, Jr. and Aiden Davis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Davis and Ben Garcia.
