Dennis Lewis, 65, of S. Clayton Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away April 9, 2023 at his home.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at First Baptist Church with Associate Pastor Kevin Pence officiating.

Dennis was born May 12, 1957 in Carlsbad, NM, to Charlie and Rena (Beard) Lewis.  He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1975.  Dennis worked in the potash mines and later in the oilfield.  He was an avid motorcycle rider and had many creative outlets.  Dennis was a caring person, often helping anyone in need and a “father to the village”.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rena Lewis.

Survivors are his wife, Misty Lewis; daughter, Carley Lewis; sons: Matthew Lewis and Aaron Lewis; 6 grandchildren; sister, Ellen Crowley and brother, Keith Lewis.
