Deloris Joyce Bow

Deloris Joyce Bow, 77, of Del Rio Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021, surrounded by her family. Joyce was born on October 6, 1943, in Connerville, Oklahoma to Alvin and Manila Bow.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Friday, May 28, 2021, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Lovington Cemetery in Lovington, NM with Rev. John Elliott officiating.

Joyce grew up in Oklahoma, and then in 1999 moved to Carlsbad. She loved visiting the San Jose Senior Center, and getting to play bingo and the lottery. She was an avid crochetier, and a connoisseur of Dr. Pepper. Joyce was full of joy and having never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Bow; mother, Manila Bow; brothers, Royce Bow and Alvin Bow.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Nadean Jordan and husband, Bill of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Michael Bow and wife, Geraldine of Hobbs, NM; sister, Elsie Elliott and husband, John of Edmond, Oklahoma; eleven nieces and nephews; thirty-one great nieces and nephews; and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
