Debbie Toothman Tarvin

Debbie Toothman Tarvin, 69, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025 at her home in Loving, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place and as per her request, there will be no services.

Debbie was born on July 24, 1956 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Fred and June (Orr) Toothman and moved to Carlsbad at the age of one with her parents. She married Walter E. Tarvin July 14, 1973 and graduated from Carlsbad High School the following year. Debbie worked at the US Post Office in Malaga over 23 years as Postmaster. She absolutely enjoyed the relationships she developed at the post office over the years. Debbie was an excellent cook and loved cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Beckie Clem.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter Tarvin; daughters: Susan Trevino and husband, Ray, Sandy Tarvin and Misty; grandchildren: Justin Franklin and husband, Theo Barela; Jordon Franklin, Callie Vinson, Hailey Vinson; brother, Fred Toothman, Jr. and wife, Cindee; sisters: Micki Stanley and husband, Bruce, Jerri Thomas; three fur babies Duke, Daisy, Nallie and numerous nieces and nephews.
