David S. Dorado

David S. Dorado, 54, of Hill Street, Carlsbad, NM passed away October 6, 2025 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at San Jose Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Cremation will take place following the services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

David was born May 26, 1971 in Carlsbad, NM to Samuel and Maria Elena (Sandate) Dorado. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1989. David received a degree at ITT in Phoenix. He worked for an architecture firm in Phoenix for 22 years before returning to Carlsbad. David worked for Intrepid, McCoys, Albertsons and Carlsbad Schools. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and biking. David was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Helen Dorado.

Survivors are his father, Samuel V. Dorado; brothers: Steve S. Dorado and wife, Dawn, Michael A Dorado, Sam S. Dorado and wife, Dedee; nieces and nephews: Ashlie Sparks and husband, Kenny, Amber Ewan and husband, Peter, Josh Dorado and wife, Yamileth, Jacob Dorado and wife, Regan, Antoni Dorado, Brien Dorado, Nathan Dorado, Emily Dorado, Travis Rios, and Matthew Rios; great-nieces and nephews: Myla, Aiden, Ariston, Auryn, Azrina, Kasey, Karson, Kooper, Elyzzabeth, and Bentley, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
