Dallas D. Martin

Dallas D. Martin, 84, of Wheeler Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away June 30, 2026 at his home. Cremation has taken place and upon his wishes there will be no services.

Dallas was born March 13, 1942, in Ashland, Wisconsin to Dallas and Louise (Schmitt) Martin and moved to Carlsbad as a kid with his parents. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1960. Dallas worked in the mines until moving to Texas where he worked for Dow Chemical. He returned to Carlsbad to take over the family business until retiring. Dallas enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Lexi-Kate Shelton; siblings: Norman Martin, Sandra Ferrell, and Patricia Moran.

Survivors are his daughter, Sherlene Shelton and husband, Rickey; son, Kerry Martin and Patty Lovell; 5 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
