Crisoforo "Cris" Garcia-Escamilla, 72, of Mountain View Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away October 11, 2016 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Jorge Arturo Urrutia officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Crisoforo "Cris" Garcia-Escamilla was born February 9, 1944 in Navarrito, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Maria Vita (Escamilla) Garcia. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses-Spanish congregation. Cris is survived by his daughter: Ruth Almendra Garcia of Carlsbad, NM., son: Chris Garcia and wife, Annette of Lubbock, TX., as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces.
