Claudia Estep

Claudia Jean Estep , 65, of Plum Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Covenant Health Center in Lubbock, Texas. According to her wishes, her body will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at Southside Church of Christ, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Claudia Jean Estep was born September 30, 1944, to Claud G. Estep and Eva Delois (Dee) Estep. She was an only child and never married. Her father was in the U.S. Army and the family moved often as is customary with military families. Claudia had lived in Carlsbad about seven years. During this time, she was a member of the Carlsbad Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer for Lakeview Christian Hospice. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, having attended the Southside congregation for several years. She loved babies, having none of her own. In light of this, she cherished her two dogs and called them her "girls". Her friends will remember her kind heart and her willingness to help others. She was preceded in death by her parents.
