Chris Pennell

Chris Pennell, 67, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Landmark Baptist Church in Carlsbad.  

Chris was born February 28,1956, in Iowa to Gary Pennell and Diane Pennell. Chris enjoyed bicycling and participating in Rag Bria. Chris also enjoyed hunting and fishing every chance he had to go.  

Chris was a father of three children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Diane Pennell and daughters PJ Davis and Jennifer Nalty. 

Survivors include his twin sons, Gary and Dean Pennell; daughters, Malissa Desaussure, Melissa Swader and husband Joey, Jodie McKinnis and husband Adam, Stephanie Nalty; grandchildren, Katelyn Phillips, Eryn Phillips, Jeremiah McKinnis, Kennice Hayes, Aspen Swader, Micah McKinnis, Aden McCormick, Logan McCormick, Kamdyn McKinnis, and VaNessa Fields; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members.
