Charles Neel

Obituary Charles Patrick (Pat) Neel 78 passed away in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on Monday, December 7, 2020. Cremation has taken place and no public services will be held. Pat was born on April 21, 1942 in Des Moine, Iowa to Chuck and Harriett Neel. After high school, he served honorably in the United States Navy until his discharge in 1963. He worked for AT&T for 30 years as a Director of Network Installations. After retirement he volunteered for the American Red Cross, Luke Air Force Base and various other charities. He loved playing golf, reading, spending time with his granddaughter and family and loved a good debate. Pat resided in Phoenix, Arizona until 2013 when he relocated to Carlsbad, New Mexico to be close to his family. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Lynch and husband. Dale of Artesia, New Mexico, son, Kelly Neel of Carlsbad, granddaughter, Kayli Archer and husband, Hazer of Carlsbad, sister, Marilyn Fleming of Carlsbad and sister, Sue Hack of Branson, Missouri. Pat was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Neel. The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers of Encompass Hospice and Goodlife Assisted Living for their care for Pat in these last few months.
