Charles (Chuck) Alan Lane, age 75, passed away on July 5, 2026 peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with family and friends.
Charles was born on February 23, 1951, in Sacramento, California, to Orville and Virginia Lane. From an early age, he developed a love for the outdoors that remained with him throughout his life. Whether he was casting a fishing line into a quiet lake, camping beneath the stars, or simply enjoying nature, Charles found peace and happiness in Jehovah’s creation.
A devoted Jehovah’s Witness, Charles dedicated many years of his life to his faith. He found comfort, purpose, and strength through his beliefs and valued sharing his hope found in the Bible with others. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and remained central to the man he was.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Sue Lane; his stepson, Donnie Ray Chamblee; his granddaughter, Krissy Lee Beason; and his parents, Orville and Virginia Lane.
He is survived by his loving son, Scott Alan Lane; his stepdaughters, Ladonna Sue Rather and her husband, Doug Rather, and Debra Kay Chamblee; his grandchildren, Ashley Erin Lane, Christopher Lunsford Lane, and Kassy Jean Beason; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Huntley, Benney, Paisley, Evangeline, Jordan, and Tyler.
Charles will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, steadfast faith, and love of the outdoors. He found great joy in fishing, camping, and spending time with those he loved. His family and friends will remember him for his outgoing spirit, quirky sense of humor, unwavering devotion to his faith, and the example of love and perseverance he set throughout his life.
Although he will be deeply missed Charles’s family finds comfort in the many memories they shared and in the hope that sustained him throughout his life. His legacy of faith, love, and dedication to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
