Charles "Charlie" Harvey, Jr.

Charles “Charlie” Harvey, Jr., 79, passed away January 2, 2026 at Carlsbad Medical Center.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, January 12, 2026 at Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.

Charlie was born on November 21, 1946 to Charles and Margaret (Moore) Harvey Sr. in Carlsbad, NM. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1965. Charlie worked in numerous areas. He was a mechanic, painted cars and was truly a “jack of all trades”. Charlie married Jeanie on March 9, 2007 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was always ready to watch a good western.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Harvey.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Harvey; son, Preston Harvey and wife, Ashley Covington; stepsons, Mitchell Gilley, Mark Gilley; grandchildren, Paige Stephens and husband, Matthew, Logan Harvey and wife, Jolee; great-grandchildren, Rachel Stephens, Rilynn Harvey, Ellie Harvey; sister, Jeanette Lewis and husband, Tom; several nieces and nephews.
