Charles David Beasley

Charles David Beasley, 69, of Palo Alto, Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 11, 2026, in Las Cruces, NM.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Eric Schweighofer conducting. Dedication of the grave will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery Gazebo, Carlsbad, NM.

Charles was born August 25, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio to James Alton and Gwendolyn Irene (Young) Beasley and graduated in North Carolina in 1974. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring as Corpsman. Charles enjoyed mastering foreign languages and cooking. He was a past Mason at the lodge in Hobbs, NM. Charles served on the Lea County Memorial Veteran’s Committee. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James and sister, Ruth.

Survivors are his wife, Pamela Beasley; son, Iain Beasley; stepdaughters, Wantusi Yu, Terah Miller and husband, Brandon, Paula Dean; grandchildren: Icis Yu, Harlie Yu, Lucien Yu, Selena Miller, Apollo Miller; faithful dogs, Belle and Misty; brother, Scott Beasley and several nieces and nephews.
