Chance "C.J." Rhodes

Chance “C.J.” Rhodes, 32, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away August 30, 2023 at his home.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.

Chance was born November 3, 1990 in Carlsbad, NM.  He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2008.  C.J. worked for CARC, Inc. and most recently at UPS.  He was extremely artistically talented, and enjoyed drawing and painting.  C.J. was also an avid gamer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jerith Groves-Lozano.

Survivors are his father, David Lozano; sister, Mayson Rhodes and Jeff Darnell; nephews: Garret Wilson and Patrick Wilson; uncles, Sam Rhodes, David Rhodes and wife, Diane and his four-legged friend, “Shadow”.
