Cecilia "Chuga" Flores

Cecilia “Chuga” Flores, 82, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Cecilia was born on December 10, 1939, in Carlsbad, NM to Leon and Martina Hernandez.

There will be no visitation, and cremation has taken place. The family will have a private family service held at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her father, Leon Hernandez; mother, Martina Hernandez; daughter, Patricia Acosta; three grandchildren: JR Methola, Danette Acosta, and Rammy Methola; great-grandchildren: Zoe Methola, and Kevin Cerna; three siblings: Sally Orona, Michael Orona, and Sonny Orona; and maternal grandparnets: Santiago and Marcilina Carrasco.

Cecilia is survived by her husband Ernesto Flores of Carlsbad, NM; six children: Roberto Flores of Washington State; Cynthia Sinclair and husband, Terry of San Angelo, TX; Ramiro Flores and wife, Linda of High Rolls, NM; Tracy Flores of Roswell, NM; Denise Flores of Mesa, AZ; and Alberto Flores and wife, Corina of Springboro, OH; twenty-one grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Sandra Orona, and Alice Orona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
