Carole M. Schart

Carole Jeanne Murray Schart, 94, was born August 7, 1931, in Vernal, Utah, where she grew up. She died peacefully September 14, 2025, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Services are pending.

Carole was born to Cecil Ward Murray and Nora Dahling Murray. She had a half brother, Jody Murray. They preceded her in death.

She was married to Chesley Schart, who was born and grew up in Nutley, New Jersey. They met while attending Logan University and were married in Logan, Utah. He preceded her in death.

Carole faithfully followed her husband to many places during his service with the U.S. Army and beyond. They had five children: Jackie Linn Schart, Vicky Lynette Schart, Teresa Ann Schart Johnson (Randy), Cynthia Schart, and Murray Ches Schart (Renee). Jackie Linn preceded them in death. They had four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Carole will be remembered for her work ethic and sense of adventure. She successfully opened and operated retail business in several of the cities she and Chesley lived in. After retirement, she and Chesley worked part-time for many years, traveled in their RV, and volunteered.

She and Chesley both advised their children to do what they love. She may be gone but not forgotten.
