Carlyn Jean Lambert Morgan, 67, of West McKay Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 10:00 AM, at Blodgett Street Baptist Church with Pastor David Prell officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Carlyn Jean Lambert Morgan was born December 15, 1943 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Arnold Isaac and Evelyn Fern (Hartwell) Hendrickson. A native to Carlsbad, Carlyn attended Carlsbad Senior High School. Carlyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and was an advocate for animal rights. Carlyn was very supportive to our veterans and military troops. Some of Carlyn's hobbies included computer crafts and decorating for all of the holidays. She had a wonderful personality and lit up a room whenever she walked in. She will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronnie Hendrickson. Survivors are her husband, Ed E. Morgan of Carlsbad, NM; three daughters: Karlena Beeson and husband, Roy of Amarillo, TX, Darla Streety and Stan Kane of Levelland, TX, Danette Tanner and husband, Pete of Carlsbad, NM; son, Dale Lambert and wife, Jodie of Carlsbad, NM; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters: Tamara Morgan of Carlsbad, NM, Tayna Willis of Carlsbad, NM; step-son, Edmond Morgan, Jr and wife, Ann of Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Pete Tanner, Stan Kane, Roy Beeson, Tony Evanoff, David Gilbert and Larry Harris. Honorary pallbearers are Jesse Bond and Asa Weise. Should friends desire, memorials might be made to V.F.W., 1916 San Jose Boulevard, Carlsbad, NM 88220. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
