Obituary Carl E. Bryant, 64, of South 11th Street Carlsbad, NM passed away atUniversity Medical Center in Lubbock, TX on December 8, 2019. Carl was born on March 23,1955, in Carlsbad, NM to Virgil and Marybell Bryant. Cremation has taken place, and at a later date the family will haveprivate services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of makingarrangements. Carl graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1973, and then shortlyafterwards started his career of 44 years at Intrepid Potash Mines untilhe retired in 2017. Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting, andgoing up to the mountains. He loved nature as a whole, looking at thetrees, flowers, and especially the birds. Carl and Mellissa also enjoyedsitting on the back porch watching any storm that came through. Carl wasan excellent cook and also loved having everyone over for a barbecue. Heloved spending time with family and friends. Carl will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Bryant; mother,Marybell Bryant; three brothers: Raymond Bryant, Charlie Bryant, andAllen "Ernie" Bryant; and sister, Sharon Cain. Carl was survived by his wife, Mellissa Bryant of Carlsbad, NM; son,Shawn Bryant of Carlsbad, NM; step-daughter, Nikki Martin and husband,Nick of Carlsbad, NM; two grandson: Hunter Martin and Trustin Martin ofCarlsbad, NM; daughter Melinda, adoptive daughter Kristen; brother, Gene Bryant and wife, Carol of Carlsbad, NM;sister, Ann Brock and husband, Richard of Miles, TX; sister, Betty Reeseof Temple, TX; sister Linda Tickor and husband, Dan of Huntsville, TX;sister, Laura Beaver and husband, Bob of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Lenore Ducharme of Gillette, WY; sister, Ella Coop; and numerous nephews andnieces.
