Carl G. Duncan, 61, of Loving, NM passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Mountain View Hospital, Las Cruces, NM. Carl was born on June 15, 1959, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Charles and Georgia Duncan.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Loving Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Ryan officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carl grew up in Albuquerque, and then later graduated from high school in Ruidoso, NM. Following school, he joined the United States Army, where he honorably served. Carl then moved to Carlsbad where he met and married Adele Gamel. After living in Carlsbad for 10 years, they moved to Albuquerque to take care of some family members. Then moved back to Carlsbad to take care of his father. Carl had a long career in construction working for Monterey Construction, Constructors, Inc., Wiley Brother Construction, and was a part of the Brantley Dam construction project. He also spent time working on numerous oil riggs in the Carlsbad area. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going hiking in the mountains. He most of all loved his family, who will dearly miss him.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Charles Duncan and son: John Carl Duncan.

Carl is survived by his mother, Georgia Duncan of Loving, NM; sister, Susan Duncan of Loving, NM; brother, T.J. Duncan and wife, April of Loving, NM; stepson, Jason Howell of Alaska; stepdaughter, Sapphire Harvey of Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
