Bobby W. Fuller

Bobby W. Fuller, 82, past resident of Carlsbad passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Midlothian, TX. Visitation will be 4:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, June 18, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 9:00 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joseph Bunce officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, NM. Bobby was born December 5, 1938 in Clarksville, Texas to Charles Homer and Lillie Mae (Davis) Fuller. He moved to Carlsbad with his parents at a early age and graduated from Carlsbad High School. While in high school he met the love of his life, Phyllis Magby. Bobby served in the National Guard in Carlsbad and married Phyllis June 13, 1959, while serving. He became involved in Calvary Baptist Church and surrendered his life to ministry. Bobby pastored at House, NM 1967-1971; Dora, NM 1971-1976; Bloomfield, NM 1976-1983 all First Baptist Churches. He then pastored the College Baptist Church in Big Spring, TX until retiring and returning to Carlsbad. Bobby had a passion for ministering to young men and served as director of the Sivells Baptist Camp over 10 years. He served as chaplain for Intrepid Potash several years. Also during retirement, Bobby served as interim pastor at several churches in the Carlsbad area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillie Mae Fuller, wife; Phyllis Fuller and sister; Charlene Mann. Survivors are daughter, Tinky Gohlke and husband, Mark; son, Kelly Fuller and wife, Johnnie; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; niece, Sandy Shubert and husband, Jon and nephew, David Mann and wife, Quinda.
