Betty Squires

Obituary Betty Squires, 92, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Lakeview Christian Home. Betty was born on September 9, 1928, in Miami, Florida to Marshall and Myrtle Crouse. Cremation has taken place, and the family will have services at a later date. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Betty loved raising and showing Yorkies, and she had several champions and one Grand Champion at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show that she was especially proud of. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Squires; son, Randy Squires; three grandsons: Joey Squires, David Squires, and Jared Squires; father, Marshall Crouse; mother, Myrtle Crouse; and sister, Carol Duplissey. Betty is survived by her son, David Squires and wife, Kristi of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughter, Jonna Squires of El Paso, TX; granddaughter, Susan Flowers and husband, Russell of Hobbs, NM; grandson, Darrell Ball and wife, Cheyenne of Eunice, NM; and seven great-grandchildren.
