Betty Knowles

Betty Knowles, 74, of Manzana Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away November 13, 2025 at her home. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, November 21, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.

Betty was born January 8, 1951, in Paris, Arkansas, to Edward and Janie (Vincent) Cobb. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1968. Betty married Sonny Knowles June 25, 1980. She enjoyed the years raising her children and also her grandchildren. More than anything, Betty loved the time at holidays with her family. She spent many hours cross-stitching and working puzzles. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tanya Gregory and brother, Billy Cobb.

Survivors are her husband, Sonny Knowles; son, Donny Gregory and wife, Erin; grandchildren: Mason Gregory and wife, Samantha, Shay Gregory and wife, Marin, Natalie Gregory, Josey Gregory, and Lillah Gregory; great-grandchildren: Madi, Nile, Rio, and Nancy; brother, David Cobb; sisters: Deborah Walker and Mary Ricketson, numerous nieces and nephews.
