Betty loved camping, RVing, watching old western movies, going to Cree Meadows Ruidoso for Dinner and listening to the Band while having her Shirley Temple. She got a thrill going for a spin in her daughter’s mustang dark horse, she was so cute telling others that if she was younger, she would buy her one. She loved Cloudcroft, Capitan and the Ruidoso Area. Betty and her daughter moved from Carlsbad to live in a RV in Capitan while having their Home Built in beautiful Ruidoso Downs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years Robert S. Bird; daughter, Carol K. Lemon; son, Robert D. Bird, granddaughter, Crystal Lynn; brother, Frank H. Sessing; sisters: Natalie Smith and Marjorie Rice.
Betty is survived by her daughter and Caregiver, Sandra G. Lemon; grandson's: Mark A. Lemon and Michele, Michael D. Bird and Angie, Mathew S. Bird and Germaine; granddaughter, Shannon M. Bird; thirteen great-grandchildren; twenty-one great-great grandchildren; nieces: Betty Ann Wilson and Wayne, Linda Darlene Steinsultz and Cliff; nephews: Gerry Wayne, Mohr and Beverly, Pomeranian, Lexi; Balinese kitty cat, Ember; and many loving friends and neighbors.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Todd Blue who was always willing to help get her to where she wanted to go and finding her an old western movie on TV.
