Bernice Campos DuQue

Bernice Campos DuQue, 52, of S. 4th Street Loving, NM, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Bernice was born on July 24, 1968, in Silver City, New Mexico to Richard and Enedina Campos, Sr.

Services are scheduled for 10 AM, Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Calvary Assembly of God with Pastor Phillip Price officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Bernice was a strong, loving, beautiful, God-fearing woman who was loved by so many. Her family meant everything to her. Bernice met the love of her life and her best friend as a teenager and ever since then they had a beautiful love that most would call a “fairytale love” that everyone could see and feel. You would often catch Bernice and Ric walking holding hands smiling, enjoying each other’s time waving to whoever would pass by. Bernice loved and adored her daughter, Shaneil and all of her grandchildren unconditionally and loved spending as much time as she could with them. She was always smiling and laughing as she watched them running around playing. Bernice was extremely close with her parents and would always call to check on them or just to talk and would always let them know how she loved them so very much. She also had her one and only brother who she loved very much and even though they were adults and they didn’t see eye to eye at times, he knew she was his big sister and that they loved each other unconditionally. Bernice enjoyed reading books and her bible, spending time with her family or just watching a tv show with her husband. Bernice was a dedicated Raiders fan and nobody could change her mind about them. She collected Elvis Presley items, who was her all-time favorite ever since she was a little girl. She loved decorating and baking for the holidays and seeing her family enjoy it all. Bernice enjoyed going to church and teaching Sunday class alongside her husband and loved her church family very much. Bernice was preceded in death by numerous family members.
Bernice is survived by her loving husband, Ricardo DuQue of Loving, NM; daughter, Shaneil Montez and husband, Adrian of Loving, NM; five grandchildren: Abriella Marshall, Xavior Montez, Adriana Montez, Adrian Montez, Jr., and Little Lucy on the way; parents, Richard and Enedina Campos, Sr. of Loving, NM; brother, Richard Campos, Jr. and wife, Angelica of Roswell, NM; six nieces and nephews: Arianna Rivera (Joel), Ayanna Campos, Austin Campos (Mireya), Carlos Rivera, Dylan Rivera, and Teresa “Bebe” Rivera; eight great nieces and nephews; and endless aunts, uncles, and cousins.
