Belinda "Birt" Rubio

Belinda “Birt” Rubio, 63, of Carlsbad, NM passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, in Tucson, AZ. Belinda born on December 16, 1960, in Carlsbad, NM to Manuel and Maria Rubio.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be a visitation scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Following, there will be services held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home starting with a reciting of the rosary and then a celebration of life officiated by Pastor Gabriel Rubio.  

Belinda grew up in Carlsbad and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed running around with her friends and making memories for a lifetime. She was always stylish and was dressed in the latest trends. She had the biggest heart and would always do whatever she could for others. She was easy to talk to, and to have met her was to know her. Belinda’s family had her whole heart, and she loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She will live on in their hearts and will be deeply missed.

Belinda was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Rubio, Sr.; mother, Maria Jesus (Molinar) Rubio; two siblings, Ycela Sosa and husband Estanislado; and Manuel Rubio, Jr.

Belinda is survived by her daughter, Yulita Melendrez and Jaime Bustamonte of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: Elyianna Navarrette, Mia Bustamonte, and Jaime Bustamante, Jr.; nine nieces and nephews of Albuquerque and Carlsbad, NM: Chris Rubio, Jeanette Rubio (Victor), Jessica Rubio, Gabriel Rubio (Elizabeth), Sonya Sosa (Brandon), Sophia Sosa (John), Bianca Sosa (Jimmy), Nakita Sosa (Carlos), and Brianna Delgado; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
