Belia Lopez Garcia

Belia Lopez Garcia, 75, of Picacho Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away November 20, 2025 at her daughter’s home. Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, 25, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A rosary is scheduled for 9:30 AM, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Belia was born January 11, 1950 in Carlsbad, NM, to Marcelino and Estefana (Hernandez) Lopez. She married Louis Q. Garcia May 24, 1975 here in Carlsbad. Belia enjoyed raising her two daughters and later her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Delia Gonzalez.

Survivors are her daughters: Marina L. Garcia-Quarles and husband, Kevin, Norena L. Garcia and Gibby Montoya; grandchildren: Nicholas Salcido, Devin Salcido, Isaiah Herrera, Kevin Quarles, Jr., Reymundo Juarez, Jesus Montoya, Gabriel Montoya, Mya Montoya, and Kiara Montoya; siblings: Lupe Rodriguez, Gloria Fierro, Marcelino Lopez, Jr. and wife, Angie, Lorenzo Lopez and wife, Ofelia, Ricardo Lopez, Tom Lopez, Jody Lopez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Reymundo Juarez, Nicholas Salcido, Devin Salcido, Jesus Montoya, Isaiah Herrera, and Gabriel Montoya. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Quarles, Jr., Mya Montoya, and Kiara Montoya.
